OnGo Audio is an MP3-player based service. On a site, the traveler can rent a player for the duration of the visit that contains audio clips in the traveler's preferred language. The audio clips can also be distributed over the Internet. In this case a proactive traveler can download the clips onto his/her own MP3-player or mobile phone before arriving at the site.
OnGo Audio is especially suited to exhibitions, museums and other such places where renting the player can be combined with, for example, ticket sales. One of the advantages of Ongo Audio, when comparing it to a more traditional guided tour, is that it's effortless. Say no to beforehand arrangements and schedules. Say yes to flexibility and a guide that is controlled by the active user following his/her own interests.
1) The traveler rents the player at the site's info desk. The player comes with a pamphlet that tells where each track may be listened to, and also contains brief instructions on how to use the player.
2) The traveler sees a sign or label that shows which audio track is relevant to this location.
3) The traveler listens to the indicated track on the player.
